In February of 2022, our wonderful founder and executive director, Tiheba Bain, was featured on Dr.Phill. On the show, Tiheba talked to Dr.Phill about the sexual abuse she both faced and observed while she was incarcerated. This behavior is unacceptable in any setting, especially in jails and prisons. Tiheba was able to advocate against and successfully eliminate the use of patdowns, which may lead many women to feel uncomfortable (and may serve as an avenue for sexual abuse).
