Moving On with Moving On

Updated: Aug 16

What is Moving On?

Moving On: A Program for At-Risk Women, a curriculum developed by clinical psychologist Marilyn Van Dieten, provides incarcerated women with the skills to move forward from negative past experiences. This curriculum also allows women to learn about skills that will enable them to avoid the criminal justice system in the future by strengthening their sense of self and learning how to maintain healthy relationships.

How will WAMI implement it in Connecticut?

WAMI will implement this curriculum in Connecticut by first piloting a 4-week version of this curriculum in a state-run women's jail, then, we will use the feedback that we get from pilot program participants in order to implement a longer version of the curriculum in a federal women's prison.
