WHO WE ARE

Women Against Mass Incarceration (WAMI) is a grassroots non-profit organization working to empower justice-impacted women, girls and families who have been affected by incarceration, trauma-survived and/or seeking support. Through our re-entry work, advocacy and political education, our aim is to elevate, educate and empower women and girls in efforts to end mass incarceration.

WHAT WE DO

WAMI knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but through the actions of our initiatives. By working together, we can overcome our barriers much more efficiently, which is why we lift as we climb, leaving no woman behind. Through our advocacy, political education and re-entry work, we strive to uplift, enrich and educate women and girls, in efforts to end mass incarceration.
