WHO WE ARE
Women Against Mass Incarceration (WAMI) is a grassroots nonprofit comprised of a small core staff & a team of volunteers - all justice-impacted individuals.
At WAMI, we take pride in empowering those who come in our doors through our own lived experience and learned expertise.
Although our focus is aiding those involved in the criminal legal system, we don't turn anyone away and will always do what we can to help those in need.
WHAT WE DO
WAMI knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but through the actions of our initiatives. By working together, we can overcome our barriers much more efficiently, which is why we lift as we climb, leaving no woman behind. Through our advocacy, political education and re-entry work, we strive to uplift, enrich and educate women and girls, in efforts to end mass incarceration.
